What is Paint Correction & Enhancement?
At Melbourne Detailing Centre, we are specialists of the art of paint rectification. Paint rectification is the process of safely levelling the paint to remove scratches in the finish. Next, we enhance the finish with multiple stages to realise its maximum potential of glass, clarity and depth.
Most modern paint finishes are made up of many layers, over a base substrate. A scratch in your paint is an indentation in the clear coat and sometimes can be enough to go through to the colour coat. To remove a scratch, we must level the paint to below the level of the scratch (aka Paint Correction). Once the paint has been corrected, we enhance the paint by refining the paint with finer and finer stages to remove any micro marring and achieve the maximum potential of the paint finish.
